Review: Nivea In-Shower Whitening Skin Conditioner

Remember my recent teaser about Nivea's new In-Shower Whitening Skin Conditioner? I got to try the one for dull skin thanks to SampleStore.com and here I am sharing my honest review.

The texture of the conditioner is thick and it already looks so moisturizing.

I applied this on my body but of course, I will only show use pictures of my elbow to show you how easy it is to use.

1) Use your regular body wash to wash away the dirt and sebum.

3) Rinse off the body wash.

3) Apply the Nivea In-Shower Whitening Skin Conditioner on your skin.

4) Rinse off with water and dry yourself with a towel.

Let's see the before and after.

As you can tell, the centre area of my elbow is visibly fairer and so is my arm. That's almost an instant effect! And from what you can't tell, my skin appears healthier and it's moisturized by the Vitamin C from Camu Camu. No sticky feeling like some moisturizers.

You can use it everyday in the shower and skip your body lotion. It's a lot slower for me to use body lotion actually.

You can now buy the Nivea In-Shower Whitening Skin Conditioner (Dull Skin) at Watsons, Guardian, Giant, NTUC Fairprice FairPrice Xtra and Cold Storage at $10.90 for 250ml.

You can also redeem a sample of Nivea In-Shower Whitening Skin Conditioner from SampleStore.com and also a brochure for you to participate in the #NIVEASG #InShowerRevolution Instagram contest. 1 winner gets to win $500 shopping vouchers and 10 winners for $80 Nivea hamper. Gd luck!

Keep Fit with BitFit Flex

I got a gift recently from someone, no reason for him but I think it's a hint to me to lose weight or at least keep fit.

Yes, it's FitBit Flex which can track the number of steps, estimate the amount of calories burned, set my goal for losing weight and even check how well I sleep.

It is wearable 24/7 even when you are taking your shower as it is water-resistant.

And yes, I wear it even to work although I know it doesn't really fit my dress. It does make me look more sporty. You can put it in the pocket of your pants or skirt if you don't wish to wear it.

The black tracker with an arrow is the main part of the wristband. Charging its rechargeable battery can last for 5 days if you don't keep tapping it to check your progress for the day.

Talking about tracking, it can sync with your tablet and smartphone via Bluetooth (iPhone & Samsung) after you downloaded the app "FitBit" I am quite proud to show you what I accomplished the day before.

As you can see, I aim to shed 4kg and I set my goal in the app to guide me in losing 0.5kg/week.

I guess not much people in Singapore are using this app so I had to manually key in the details of the food I have eaten like Fried Fish Soup, Dumpling Noodles and Potato Salad. It takes effort to lose weight ok?

So let's see in 2 months if I indeed reach my goal.

A Short Update

Remember that I did a photoshoot with A NicTay's Production earlier this month? Here's a sneak to one of the photos while waiting for the other fantastic photos.

I was too busy these weeks to blog about nitty gritty things that happened. Allow me to blog briefly.

20 June 2014

Met the ladies to celebrate the birthdays of the June babies for birthday dinner at MOF Bugis Junction. It is co-operated with Lenas so customers can now choose from the western menu.

I had the Smoked Duck Pasta in Spicy Aglio Olio which wasn't satisfying. The pasta was a little under-cooked and too spicy for me. Sadly, only the smoked duck meets my expectations.

I top-up $5 to choose a dessert worth $6.80. It is Fried Banana with Soft Serve which was average. Missed a picture of it.

21 June 2014

Met Ranga and KZ in the evening at Miam Miam Westgate which sells French cuisine.

I only had the appeitiser French Toast with plenty of whipped cream. It's the "Must-Try" item in the restaurant which takes at least 20mins to be served but it's worth waiting if you are in for a sweet treat.

Review: Triple Dry Anti-Perspirants

Recently, I tried 2 products from Triple Dry which are anti-perspirants suitable for sensitive skin. The blue one is unfragranced and the the pink one has a fresh fragrance for ladies.

Both products are anti-bacterial and proven to protect against heavy perspiration, helping you to stay dry throughout a hot and humid day. And also, if you apply every night before sleep, you will realise your perspiration is under control. And when it happens, you can reduce to 3 applications a week.

They are also waterproof meaning that you can swim or shower without having to reapply.

They are easy to use, merely takes me seconds to keep dry all day. They aren't sticky on my skin and gives me a little cooling effect.

If you are a Sample Store member, you can now redeem the RETAIL SIZE of Triple Dry Anti-Perspirant from here. If you are not, fear not as you can buy it from Guardian.

Photoshoot by A NicTay's Production

06 June 2014

Took a day off to do a photoshoot before I turn 26.

I would say she's the first female photographer I worked with and I am really impressed by her make up and photography skill. Yes, she did my make up and hair too. The Luxy Hair extensions I bought were finally put to good use.

My first look was casual with a checkered top and jeans.

Second look was more of sexy with an oriental feel.

Waiting patiently for the photos and I definitely would share some with you.

Time Spent Alone is Worth it

03 June 2014

Spent some time alone after work for light shopping and dinner.

It was the last day for Make Up Store's eyeshadow promotion and so happens that their latest collection "Milk" was out.

Maya is one of the new colours in "Milk". The blue is a little bright for everyday make up so just make sure you take what you need.

From left: Tiffany, Moss and Maya

I used Tiffany on my inner 2/3 of my eyelid and Maya on the outer 1/3. Note that I did not use eye primer before applying the eyeshadows and I kept blending thus the blue shades are very fade. Shall try with eye primer the next time for an edgy look.

Had dinner at Din Tai Fung. My all-time favourite Pork with Vegetable Dumpling Noodle.

Time spent alone is worth it.
