Review: Cure Natural Aqua Gel

I am here to review another exfoliating product which has been the best-selling skincare product in Japan for 7 years. Cure Natural Aqua Gel!

Cure Natural Aqua Gel does not contain alcohol, fragrances, artificial preservatives or colouring which makes it safe for sensitive skin.

The product is watery so beware to pump the product into your palm instead of the back of your hand. There are no exfoliating beads so you don't have to worry of abrasion.

Below's a picture of 1 pump of the product.

Let me show you how I use it.

On my dry face, I spread the product onto my face avoiding my eye area. Got to do it fast as the product flows down my face.

Use your fingers to go in circular motion on your face and you will start to see white particles containing your sebum and dirt.

Here's how much sebum and dirt I had. But you can already tell that my face is fairer isn't it?

Let's see the Before & After!

My face has become fairer with the dead skin layer removed thus, my uneven skin tone is almost solved.

Do get more information of Cure Natural Aqua Gel, do 'LIKE' Watsons SG Facebook.

Of course, if you already trust this product enough to buy, head down to Watsons to get it at $49.00.

Shiseido's Multi-Defense UV Protector

15 May 2014

Went shopping at Tangs Vivocity (yes, Tangs again).for Shiseido's latest sunscreen named Multi-Defense UV Protector.

It's SPF 50 and PA+++. Best of all, it's water-resistant which means it protects my skin even during swimming.

The texture is a little watery and it isn't difficult to blend onto skin. I had the perception that if it's high on SPF, it will be thick and clog pores but that's not always the case. After application of the sunscreen, my skin doesn't feel sticky or too fair which is fantastic.

The only thing is that it only comes in 30ml which means I should finish it in 3 months.

They do have other sunscreen products that used can be used for both body and face too.  Do check it out at the counters.

Dinner at Ootoya

12 May 2014

Met KZ for dinner at Ootoya in Clementi Mall. It was my first time.

I ordered the Grilled Saba set which I was excited to try.The set comes with rice, radish (taste awful), appetitizer and miso soup.

The saba was good. maybe just a little too salty for me but I will definitely go back for it. A set like this cost me $20.

I had a $5 dessert which consists of Matcha ice-cream, rice balls, red beans and soy milk which is not bad.

Sometimes, change is good.

Mother's Day with Jo Malone

09 May 2014

I was spending the evening with my mum at Jo Malone's Floral Box Workshop held in Tangs's Seviin.

The event space needs no more decoration with the flowers and the scents.

My mum and I tried the featured colognes like Silk Blossom, Red Roses and Orange Blossom which can be layered to form another scent. That's the advantage of Jo Malone's colognes, you can layer up to 8 different scents and don't feel it's too much.

The event began with introduction of the flowers which we were going to use and how to condition them before floral arrangement. We were also given tips on how to keep them fresh for as long as possible.

Look at the stalks of spring blossom I can play with! My mood is also blooming with happiness.

There are also hydrangea, spring carnation (smaller than carnation) and another type of flower which I can't remember its name.

We put our creativity to the test but of course we had guidance from the wonderful staff from Wonderland. They do hold floral arrangement classes too!

Here's how my floral box looks like with a bottle of 100ml Silk Blossom Cologne (it's limited edition!). I should have added more flowers especially at the corners.

And here's my mum's which she explained that she wants the receiver to get a surprise so she covered the cologne with flowers.

Presenting our floral boxes together.

Done with the workshop and it's time for shopping.

We picked a 100ml bottle of Silk Blossom, a 100ml bottle of Red Roses (mum's favourite), 30ml of Peony & Blush Suede and 30ml of English Pear & Freesia.

The 100ml of Silk Blossom is priced at $204 as it's limited edition and the regular 100ml colognes are $194. The 30ml colognes are $97.

The colognes are made in England and their scents are unique in case you wonder why they are a little pricey. I am pretty sure Jo Malone will always be one of my favourite brands.

Shopping at Tangs Is Always Fruitful

03 May 2014

Got into a shopping spree at Tangs Orchard which I know I shouldn't have.

Bought body firming products from Clarins. I will try to review and show you how to use if I have time.

And look at the samples I got. Yes, I love samples.

And make up from Benefit. Big Easy is their new BB-alike liquid foundation which gives a powder finish. Stay Don't Stray is their famous eye primer cum concealer which I have used before. Just make sure you don't apply too much to prevent your eye area getting cakey.

And yes, samples and free umbrella. Did I not say I love umbrellas too?

Buffet at Irodori

02 May 2014

Got to thank Ama for the buffet treat at Irodori at River View Hotel.

It was a really happy dinner with all that tasty sushi, tempura and grilled dishes.

I only remember to take a few pictures at the beginning and then I got so excited that I keep eating.

Salmon handroll and soft shell crab handroll

 Mixed Sashimi

Tuna and Sword Tail Sushi

What you really need to eat there? Chawamushi, handrolls, fried shishamo, sashimi (of course!), golden mushroom in pork roll, tea pot soup, grilled saba, Irodori sushi (their own creation) and that's about all that I can remember.

There are also udon and salads on the buffet menu which I thought will waste the space in my stomach.

If it's cheaper than Koshinbo and I thought it's better too. 4 stars out of 5 stars for the selections and limited seats.

Review: BeautyBiotics Exfoliating Jelly

Getting rid of dead skin is important. Reasons being:

1) Not to waste the serum, moisturizer and mask that you apply to allow the dead skin to absorb

2) Achieve radiant and youthful skin

4) Easier to get rid of blackheads and whiteheads

Recently, I received a new product, BeautyBiotics's Exfoliating Jelly. It is tested by dermatologists and made in Japan. It contains fruit-derived AHA and BHA enzymes that exfoliates skin to restore clarity, brilliance and radiance.

The texture of it is not too watery and has very fine exofoliating beads that are so gently on the skin yet it can scrub off the dead skin.

Let me show you how to use it.

1) Pump twice of the BeautyBiotics's Exofoliating Jelly onto the back of your hand

2) Use your fingers to apply the product onto the main 5 areas of your face namely, forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. Make sure your face is dry before application.

3) Lightly massage the product onto your face in circular motion. You will begin to see white stuff appearing and those are your dead skin and impurities.

4) Wash your face with water and dry with face towel.

Let's see my before and after!

I have reduced redness on my cheeks, brighter forehead and lip area. All these can affect the shape of your face.just like contouring.

Do 'Like' BeautyBiotics's FB page for more updates of their new products!

You can get BeautyBiotics Exfoliating Jelly at Watsons retailing at $43.
