Day 1 in Bukit Indah

It was KZ's birthday and the group of us decided to celebrate for her at Bukit Indah.

Ama, LL, KZ and I boarded the bus from Jurong East through second link to Bukit Indah.

We reached Aeon Mall at 9:30am and had to wait till 10am for the mall to open.

At the playground while waiting

Had breakfast at Old Town White Coffee. Their Ipoh Hor Fun is my favourite.

Had our hair and scalp treatment done at E3 Salon. I managed to get my hair trimmed too. Cost me about RM120 in total.

The girls did some shopping  but I bought nothing except for a pack of flower tea leaves which cost me RM15.

Met Ranga and Prema at J. Co for donuts and drinks. Each donut cost less than S$1, no wonder Singaporeans bought boxes and boxes of donuts.

LL, KZ and I went for massage at Thai Odyssey. I had 30mins foot massage done which is considered painless compared to the one at Wan Yang.

Finally, we get to check-in at Hotel Granada which is just opposite Aeon Mall. Super convenient and there's a 24-hour Mac beside the hotel.

Shared a junior suite with the girls and we only had to pay almost S$40 after adding an extra bed and includes breakfast.

Birthday Girl and her present

After watching Mirror Mirror, we headed to Tian Lai Seafood Restaurant for dinner. It is located at Gelang Patah but parking is limited.

The 4 of us had 9 dishes which sounds a lot but the portions weren't big. We paid only about S$20 each for all these food.

 Hot Plate Beancurd

 Seaweed Soup

 Drunken Prawns

 Salted Fish Fried Rice

 Otah (Ama's Favourite)

 Stir-Fried Kailan

Steamed Groupa

 Salted Egg Crab

KZ having the time of her life

Ranga and Prema joined later and ordered their own dishes. They ordered Salted Egg Crab as well and finished it by their own. Impressive.

Sent Prema to the bus terminal and the rest of us decided to take a cab back to hotel. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a cab after 10pm and walked back to the restaurant hoping to get advices.

The boss was so kind to fetch us back to the hotel out of goodwill. We can't be any more grateful.

Luckily it wasn't midnight yet and we could still sing a birthday song to KZ and let her blow candles. Notice that she was holding her birthday cake instead of any of us helping her?

Lights off after we watched The Princess Diaries 2.

Review: Nivea In-Shower Intensive Skin Conditioner

Recently I redeemed some samples from SampleStore to try out of curiosity and since they were sponsored samples so I didn't have to pay a single cent.

The first I tried was the Nivea In-Shower Intensive Skin Conditioner for Dry Skin. I actually bought a bottle for dry skin before trying the sample..

It's so easy to use. Use your regular body wash, rinse off, apply Nivea In-Shower Intensive Skin Conditioner and rinse off.

Does it work? I applied too much on my skin that I had a hard time washing off so it wasn't an accurate experience.

The second time I applied much lesser. It works for me and saves time from applying skin lotion. Skin remains smooth even till the next morning.

Overall, I think it is innovative and convenient. You should try it too!

Dinner at Poulet

17 March 2014

Met Dare Association for dinner at Poulet Westgate. Dinner was way too full that I had to skip a drink in Starbucks.

And thanks to KZ for the gifts from New York and Germany. A key chain, pen, disinfectant in Island Margarita and Baileys Chocolates.

In Preparation for Taiwan Trip

16 March 2014

2-piece Paddlepop outfit in Lilac bought from The Stage Walk

Met the ladies to discuss our itinerary for our Taiwan trip in July. I am really praying hard that I can take off to go.

We camped at Starbucks @ One Rochester from 4pm till almost 9pm and finally got it done.

Had dinner at Watami Casual Restaurant in The Star Vista. I had the usual chicken katsu which has way too thick crust that I removed it all.

Home at 10:30pm.

15 March 2014

Went to get my nails done again at Gardenails. This should be the most fancy nail art that I have ever gotten. It cost me $55 and comes with free mud spa for your feet.

Unwrap Good Times with KFC Bandito Pockett!

I would like to wrap up the company's YA2014 accounts like right now. All the ding-ding-dong-dong between the bosses are giving me headaches and the auditing firm is chasing me like a mad dog.

And my work desk? Piles of paper all over and plenty of calendars from suppliers. The picture below is really what it is right now. You would probably be wondering how do I even work like this? But I can tell you I can because I have been in this state for as long as I'm here which is like 2 years? I do still wish the mess can be wrapped up before the next CNY.

Ok, so that was work. And my personal life?

I have got a mountain of stuff just behind my bed, a full load under my bed and a wardrobe of unworn heels and clothes. I think I have enough cosmetics, clothes and shoes to last for the rest of my life. I do hope I have a helper to help me wrap up all those unwanted stuff into the bin.

You must be thinking that I am so messed up and I need to wrap up so much stuff but I am telling you that I definitely can ....

Unwrap good times with KFC Bandito Pockett!

KFC Bandito Pockett packed with so many tasty ingredients, 100% chicken fillet marinated in signature hot & crispy flavor, served on a bed of fresh lettuce, with salsa and mayonnaise, all wrapped in a toasted tortilla. It is every KFC fan's facourite wrap! Try it now to enjoy a good time!

Review: Biore Uru Uru 2-in-1 Instant Foaming Wash

Surely you have heard of the Biore Cleansing Wipes which famous bloggers have talked about?

How about Biore's new facial foam named Uru Uru 2-in-1 Instant Foaming Wash which can remove your basic make up at the same time? It is that convenient!

Before I show you how I use Biore Uru Uru 2-in-1 Instant Foaming Wash, let's see a "Before" picture. I have applied liquid foundation, pressed powder, concealer, eyebrow pencil and blusher.

Firstly, pump 2-3 times onto your palm. The foam is really fine and it actually makes cleaning more fun.

Distribute the foam onto the main 5 areas of your face namely forehead, nose, cheeks and chin. Remember to avoid eye area. If you still have leftover, go on to spread to your neck.

Massage the foam on your face in circular motion. I tend to focus more on areas that have blackheads like nose and chin.

You do realise that I was having fun 'playing' with the foam. And here's how I look like with the foam on my face.

See the yellowish-brown foam? That should be my foundation or pressed powder.

Time to wash my face with water and see how effective the Biore Uru Uru 2-in-1 Instant Foaming Wash is.

Now you see the flaws on my face. The acne mark on my nose, cheeks and forehead. This means that the concealer, foundation and pressed powder has been washed off. My cheeks aren't that pink anymore, the difference is more obvious on my right cheek . The inner corner of my right eyebrow where I darkened using eyebrow pencil has also been washed off.

This product is unable to remove waterproof make up like mascara and eyeliner so please use your eye make up remover. I did not apply lipstick or lip gloss on my face but you can use this product to remove lip gloss although I will advise you to just use eye and lip make up remover.

Biore Uru Uru 2-in-1 Instant Foaming Wash is available in Watsons but if you wish to win it instead of buy it, you can go on to 'LIKE' Sample Store's Facebook and Instagram and pray hard that you are 1 of the 10 lucky people. May Lady Luck be with you!

Happy Customer of Jo Malone

08 March 2014

Tangs was having 12% rebate for members and here's what I bought.

Shiseido Ibuki Eye Correcting Cream at $60, Martina Pink flats at $54.50 (thanks to the 50% discount), Jo Malone's body wash in Peony and Blush, Body Creme in Red Roses and limited edition Cedarwood & Juniper cologne.

If you are unsure of what fragrance suits you or you are looking for unique fragrances, stylists from Jo Malone can perform hand massage on you to let you see how the fragrances settle on you before you buy.

07 March 2014

I am really in love with the the limited edition cologne "Rain & Angelica" from Jo Malone. Even my nephew likes it so much that he smiled everytime he smells it.

And I also bought a Burberry Lip Cover in Bright Plum. It is slightly lighter than Oxblood.

Had dinner at Itacho Sushi. I was alone on Friday evening but still ended up waiting for at least 15 minutes even though I don't mind sitting at the counter.

Spent $17.50 on dinner but I was happy.
